I would describe my skill level as:
Advanced - I've been a racer for awhile, I'm able to help teach others about racing or sailing.
My racing experience:
New to Bay Area, originally from Portland OR
- Raced J-24 20 years (I helmed, husband did bow); later owned and raced a Catalina 320.
-Moved to Seattle, WA in 2015. Raced on many boats, doing 5 Swiftsures & Whidbey Island and Anacortes Race Weeks, and most evening and weekend races.
-Most recently I helmed a J105, or trimmed main. Also have experience at pit, and headsail trim.
- I owned a Catalina 36 while in Seattle and cruised San Juan and Gulf Islands.
- Have crewed offshore on 8 Baja ha ha’s, sailed from Hawaii to Santa Barbara, Sitka Alaska to Port Hardy, Seattle to SoCal, and Astoria to Victoria.
- Received US Sailing Instructor Certification many years ago.
My availability for practice prior to the regatta is:
I am retired, have been doing some race committee but otherwise schedule pretty open.
